Planting and Restoration Projects in Cambridge, New Zealand

Aroha Cambridge is proud of its first project, in conjunction with the Waipa District Council, to transform 1.4 hectares of land on the walkway between Payne Park and the Te Awa River Ride. The goal is to clear the invasive weeds and replant with native species to bring the area back to life and create a healthier natural habitat for our native wild life.

You can read more about Aroha Cambridge’s involvement with the Moonspring Extension Project here and information about the initial Te Puna Marama - Moonspring Project can be found here.

Please take a walk along the path to see the progress as we work on making this part of Cambridge more vibrant.

This will be the first of many areas that we hope to work on with the goal of providing habitats for native birds, insects, and plants to flourish while creating havens for the community to unwind and relax.

If you would like to be part of the weeding or planting projects we would love to hear from you!
